would my mind lust and fumble
over the opposite sex or
would my eyes bleed from aromas
of burning trees?

If I were you and you were me;
could my dreams cause my sheets
to drip, would I be scared to sleep
cause of what my subconscious thinks?

If I were you and you were me;
would these letters from my pen
that combine into phrases be legible or
would they be un-understandable?

If you were me and I were you;
could I still dunk a ball at ten feet
or would my balling days just be a long
lost memory in purple dazes inside cloudy
hazes?

If I were you and you were me;
would I cry myself to sleep because my
life wasn't what I expected it to be or
would the tears from my eyes wash away
the pain and guide me to the Promise Land?

could you explain the things I've done,
the roads I've traveled, and the choices
I've made?

If I were you and you were me;
would you realize that grass is never
greener on the other side of the fence?

could you fathom the magnitude of my attitude,
would you ever have a clue of why I feel
so strongly about my moral and ethical values
and views?
